I was contracted to complete an entire overhaul
of this client’s site and deliver Dreamweaver templates
to the client to allow non-technical staff to maintain
and update the site. Once the design was agreed upon,
I was responsible for porting all of the content from
their old site to the new layout and developing CSS stylesheets
and JavaScript code to allow the client to add new material
to the site without having to hand-code HTML or JavaScript. |

working on for a writer in western Massachusetts. We are
currently working on integrating the RSS feed from his
blog directly into the site. |

Pizzeria, Medway & Westwood, MA |

Primo's Westwood location
is an established Italian eatery and their new location
in Medway is a surprisingly cozy place—despite
it's location in a shopping center—for some great
Italian food.
This website was created to provide an online presence
for the owners who are hoping to let more people in
the area learn about the restaurant and try their great
food. I reccommend the Cioppino (shrimp, scallops, lobster
& cod in a seafood broth with fresh tomatoes, scallions
and mushrooms) and, of course, the Pizza! |
24 Shades of Green (in development) |

24 Shades of Green offers classic women's
clothing in a wide variety of custom fabrics. For this
project, the client needed a database driven solution
to allow customers to select from available styles and
fabrics. The client also needed a custom shopping-cart
and customer-management solution as there were no off-the
shelf products that were designed to handle the number
of fabric options available for each style. We also developed
web-based inventory and customer management tools so the
client could manage her site from any Internet-connected
computer. |
Mickey Cassidy's Irish
Restaurant and Public House, Medway, MA |
| |
Mickey Cassidy's Irish Restaurant and Public House
wanted a web site to coordinate with their grand opening.
The site was built to reflect the Irish humor and character
of the restaurant in addition to standard pages containing
menus and entertainment listings.
In addition to regular weekend entertainment, Mickey
Cassidy's also showcases traditional Irish music talent
from Ireland. To help bring some of the spirit of Ireland
to the web I created audio and video of several events
for visitors to experience a taste of the festivities
from their home or office. |

Melrose Police Department, Melrose,
MA
(completed as contract for Perini Communications, Inc.) |
| |
Working with Perini Communications, I developed a clean
web interface for the city of Melrose police department.
The client had a lot of information to present so part
of the challenge was to develop an easy to use navigation
system while keeping enough screen real-estate for the
information they wanted to present.
The site was handed over to Melrose Police Department
with a set of Dreamweaver templates so they could continue
to maintain and add content without having to worry
about any coding. |

Hopkinton High School Technology Education
Department
(developed while teaching technology classes at HHS) |
| |
This site was developed to create a portal for all
technology classes at Hopkinton high school. It may
be destined to remain a work in progress since no one
has taken over the project since I left, but it was
a fun chance to play around with a non-conventional
page and navigation design. |

Technologies 'N Typography
(developed while employed at Technologies 'N Typography) |
| |
TNT combines the art of typography with the latest
hardware and software technology to provide typesetting
services to the publishing industry.
In addition to the graphical design elements of the
site we needed to create a secure login area for clients
to download software that TNT developed. Active Server
Pages were also used to build a secure FTP application
to allow clients and compositors to send and receive
files. |

Educational Philosophy Project - Framingham
State College |
| |
Rather than turn in a gigantic paper chart diagramming
the distinctions among educational philosophies (as
was assigned) I created a CD-ROM based version to turn
in. (I got an "A"..)
If you'd like to learn more about educational philosophy

I was trying to teach myself how to create animations

it was a fun first project--enjoy! |

Another experiment with Flash and a cool
(and free) piece of software called TerraGen. I tried
to use the images from TerraGen in a Flash movie to make
the backdrop for the spaceship landing. (Nothing's wrong
with your computer--there's no sound.) |
